Hi there!
My name is Jasmin and I'm an Industrial Designer!

You can already recognize the combination of product design and mechanical engineering in the title. For me, these two disciplines are indispensable for product development because it unites creativity and technical know-how.
There is Product Design, which is way more than just "making a product beautiful", as some might assume. It is mainly about the creativity in concept development of how a product should work, what it should achieve and always: how the user feels with it. In my opinion, product design is equated with empathy.
Mechanical engineering on the other hand, ensures technical and economic feasibility. You can have the most creative and innovative concept, but what is the point if it cannot be manufactured or is too expensive to produce?
So together, these two disciplines enable the development of innovative, reliable and user-friendly products that can keep customers, companies and also me happy!

I have experience in product development since I started my Bachelor in Industrial Design. After that I completed my Master's degree in Productdesign and Processdevelopment. So Design for Manufacturing has been my subject area for years.
But not only that, I also completed an apprenticeship as a design assistant, where I also focused on graphic design. I noticed in previous projects that this is also very helpful for product development if you need marketing-material, Interface-designs, a logo or a packaging.

It's always exciting working in and with different disciplines who follow all the same target: enhancing peoples everyday life with our products. I am curious, if we will do a project together one day...💭
Let's talk about that!
