The future of agriculture
The dream is, to have a fully autonomous agricultural economy one day. That's what most farmers said at the agritechnica fair in 2019. Two aspects are a major problem in agriculture: The lack of staff and unpredictable weather conditions. This can be prevented with a smart monitoring system and conntected work-robots. These robots come with modular attachments, such as modules for mowing, sowing, harvesting, moisturizing etc. for a more resource-efficient way in production and usage. With the help of these autonomous guided (AGV) workbots, the farmer can take care of his field all day and night.

Swapping batteries instead of plugs
A well known example are electric cars. Electric cars have to be pluged-in overnight and charge for hours. In general, fast chargers are now able to charge a battery to 80 percent in a little under half an hour. But in that time, some battery swap stations could charge dozens of cars to 100 percent. Usind this method and an extra battery for saving energy, the farm robots could work all day and night without any break. One battery is about 60kg and takes the power of about 6-8 working hours. The battery swapping robot drives on the field, swaps the battery of the bot, and drives back to its charging station at the stall. It's the only AGV which has to be pluged in by the farmer at the end of the day.
